The therapeutic power of the metaphors

StarJunto uses the power of the metaphors to make the therapist present in the client's daily situations.

The metaphors have a cognitive power of positive character. They have the capacity to induce discoveries over questions, even if there is no clear or explicit point presented. They are persuasive, because they not only “invite,” but somehow, they "stimulate" the client for future research, what can lead the client into a discovery of new paths.

In psychotherapy, Milton H. Erickson has shown that if the client communicates through symbols and metaphors, the therapist can also use the same resource.

StarJunto follows the premise of M. Erickson, using visual and writing metaphors that give to the client the possibility of making connections and interpretations of their feelings and boost their own changes.
